I found this which also gives Ethiopia as a location.

I found ;-
Genetic analysis suggests the Mustelidae should be divided into eight
subfamilies

One of which is - Galictis, Vormela, Ictonyx, Poecilogale (Subfamily
Galictinae)

So it looks as though there are two animals called Striped Weasel in
that part of the world.
