You might want to go to the store and actually see the newest FN cagees
in person. First of all they have changed them so they do not require
screws and all to put together and it is my understanding you cannot
add them on to each other as before so ask about that wherever you get
them from. Secondly, the shelves as they come now do not require covers
as the edges fold over the shelf frame/support so all edges are smooth.
The company also provides three ramp covers in the order as part of the
package. If you should happen to get a box of shelves that smell funny,
do not even waste your time trying to air them out. Call or write to
Joel ( Customer Serrvice listed in the info) and ask for replacements.
He was GREAT to deal with. I still have thee order that was funky in my
garage (several months later) and they still have the odor. It is the
petroleum product - they sent new ands all was fine!! Good luck, you
will love them so much you will go buy the small animal version,
