I spoke to the sheriff's deputy in Clovis, NM. She said the ferret -
a large white male - was in good shape and had been turned over to a
shelter in Albuquerque. She couldn't remember if it was a ferret
shelter or a general shelter, but she has been a ferret owner before
and knows the ferret is okay. He was in a nasty cage, but appeared to
have been well cared for.
