Well, I always thought that it couldn't happen to me, but it did.

Sunday, I noticed that Dr. Pepper wasn't feeling well. I couldn't find anything
obviously wrong with him, so I decided to wait until Monday to take him to
the vets. When I got home Monday afternoon, he wasn't improved, so I took
him to the vet. Pepper had a temp of < 94, and was severily dehydrated.
The vet was closing, and had to go to a meeting, so he had me take Pepper to
the emergency clinic for xrays and treatment. They immediatly started trying
to re-hydrate him, and took the xrays. The xrays didn't show a blockage, but
the vet suspected that that was the problem. He gave Pepper < 5% chance of
surviving surgery at that time. We decided to wait until 9:00pm to see if
he would stablize.

He died at 7:54pm.

Please give your pets an extra hug for Pepper tonight.
