First check to make sure that the ferret is not overheated. Some like to get cloth wet and get into it if too hot. The only one we had who liked to drink that way in our 30 years + with ferrets in the family was a very handicapped one: Ruffle. What we learned from that is that you have to check the cloth OFTEN because it will get moldy. Sukie (not a vet) Ferrets make the world a game.
