For those US ferret rescues seeking 501c3 status - here is a possible
source of help: Note the deadline!

The Ralph & Virginia Mullin Foundation provides small grants to assist
animal welfare and shelter organizations to become incorporated and
obtain 501(c)(3) status. Those grant recipients must use funds for
costs directly related to achieving these goals.

Range: Up to $1,000.
Deadline: September 30
