Hello fellow ferrants. Need some advice. A good friend of mine was just
diagnosed with colon cancer. She is owned by 5 ferrets. She is going
to have to go through 6 weeks of high dose radiation therapy everyday.
Chemo is not necessary at this time. Her Dr. said she is not to have
contact with her ferrets as the radiation emitted from her could be
detrimental to their health. Has anyone ever dealt with this before? If
so, should she not have any contact at all or is she at least able to
take care of them with minimal exposure? I have offered to take care of
them here at the shelter if need be.
