There are two vaccines with somewhat similar names. One has a very
insufficient background for knowing if it even works or is truly safe
enough. The other is derived from Galaxy D. The vet WILL need to verify
that ferret tissue cultures still are not being used in the creation
because when that is done a vaccine can infect ferrets.

is from Dr. Ruth Heller who not only is a ferret veterinarian but also
conducted a study on CD titers.
It is a reply to a question about an earlier post she had on the topic,
so here are the relevant sections (which I can carry because I have her
standing permission to do so):

Hi, Kevin - yes, I am referring to the puppy vaccine - which is only
a "puppy" vaccine because some prefer to get the protection against
distemper and parvo started prior to vaccinating for other diseases
like hepatitis in young puppies, and is perfectly appropriate for
providing protection against distemper and parvo in adult dogs as well.

I had many private discussions with ferret veterinarians about the
other vaccine, which is called NeoVac. Dr. Jerry Murray in particular
looked carefully into that one and was left with concerns that could
only be answered by more and better testing, both for safety and for
effectiveness. To date I have NOT heard of such testing having been
done, but if it has that would be progress.
These past posts of mine may help clarify by putting both together bu
tthe thing to remember is that Nobivac is a descendant of Galaxy so has
some background there for use in ferrets whereas Neovac is a different
vaccine that has insufficient testing, not sufficient to know if it
even works, and no sufficient for safety:
