Although the article has many nice short questions and I love the
Oregon Ferret Shelter but this statement has me in disagreement:
"Ferrets must also have a daily outing of at least 60 minutes to play
with you and be supervised by you." One hour a day? Perhaps it was
just not worded the way I read it. It doesn't state that ferrets are
considered uncaged animals and must be allowed free roam for a minimum
of X hours a day. It just says you have to interact with it for one
hour out of it's cage. I hope some improvements can be made to the
number 1 question so that people don't cage the animal for 23 hours a
day.
I have noted that the number one reason I have received ferrets at my
shelter is the inability to find rental housing that allows them. Lack
of time often ties it or a close second.
