I take pains to real labels, so it came as a surprise when I was
showing someone else a bag of 8-in-1 Ultimate ferret food (that's
"Ultimate", the more expensive one, not the "Ultra"), and raisin
juice is shown as about the 6th ingredient.

I have seen reports that raisins can be harmful to ferrets and other
pets, causing kidney failure and other problems. Can anybody give me
information about this, or why 8-in-1 decided to put raisin juice in
their ferret food? I find this to be a bit alarming.
