The alternative is Nobivac.

Do NOT use the similarly named Neovac. There are not even studies to
show if it creates any immunity at all in ferrets, and the only safety
study was very poor, few animals, and only very young one w their first
vaccine, so pretty worthless.

The only thoroughly documented CDV vaccine for ferrets is Purevax, but
it is made on a non-dedicated line that more often is used to make
higher profit items, so enough is never made and it is not often made.

I lack time to search much but notice comments from ferret vets like
Doctors Ruth Heller and Jerry Murray on Neovac in places like this or
others you can find:
