Hello,
First aid kits were given out to shelters at the Phoenix Symposium.
Some of us went to this, and we weren't a shelter.
I have been hoping for a list of stuff that was in that kit (just in
case there's something glaringly obvious that I should have on hand
that I don't currently have and will feel like an idiot when the time
comes to need it and I don't have it).
Does anyone have such a list?
If the list doesn't exist, what are things you'd keep on hand for
taking care of your animals?
I currently have:
- Bag of fluid and a bunch of needles for dehydration
- Corn syrup
- Bottle of pred
- Kwik Stop (not really for emergencies, but great for nail trimming
boo boos)
- Clean, single socks (great bandages for dogs and cats)
- Heating pad
- Gauze
- Giant cloth bag with a zipper and netting on one area near the cage
for rapid transport (although they wouldn't like being squished in
there for long-purely for emergencies)
- Couple of days worth of food in an easy-to-carry tupper
