I actually use three different things for cleaning up after the
ferrets. First, I use Zep concentrated carpet cleaner that I get at
Lowe's or Home Depot. A gallon is about $10. I use 1/8 - 1/4 cup to
32 oz of water. That gets up nearly all the messes. If that doesn't
work, I use Nature's Miracle Advanced Stain and Odor Remover on the
spot. If that doesn't work, then I use Simple Solution Oxy Charged
gel brush. The key for any of them is to clean up as much as you can
before applying the product, then spray the product and let it work
for a minute or so. The tougher the stain, the longer you want to
let the product set, but don't let it set til it starts drying. If
I get distracted and the spot has started drying, then I'll spray a
little water on it to reactive it.
