Tomorrow

Yesterday's tomorrows are today's here and now,
Although you made it through them all, you really don't know how.
You made it through the sadness you made it through the rain.,
yet here you are now facing loss and heartache once again.

You try to keep a brave face, although others know you well,
you try to keep on going and rise up from where you fell.
Although this has got a grip on you, you cannot stop to cry,
things in life just happen and you often don't know why.

You gather up your courage and go on from where you came,
you know that things will change now, they will never be the same.
No one ever promised ease, that's how the game is played,
and you can't reach tomorrow if in yesterday you stayed.

You deal with what you're given, that heartache and the loss,
you do the best with what you've got no matter what the cause.
Rise up and face your future, though you don't know what's in store,
tomorrow's promise is a gift today and evermore.
