Addendum to MUMS post
In the MUMS UPDATE post see number 108 for the new officially approved
(which requires more data than off label use) MUMS addition for ferrets
for heartworm disease prevention:
Imidacloprid/Moxidectin
ADVANTAGE MULTI for Cats

So
Bayer HealthCare LLC

should wind up including correct dosing instructions from studies for
this use in future printings and maybe on their website. The last I
read the lowest dose that appears to work in frrets for heartworm
prevention is smaller than the one tube of adult cat strength (which is
known to be safe for ferrets) but larger than the one kitten tube size.

[Addendum].
When saying that the kitten tube is not sufficient for heartworm
protection for ferrets, it can be for SMALL adult ferrets, but not
for many others.
