I highly recommend going to a vet's office and getting CET toothpaste.
It's not prescription, but only sold through vet's offices, so you can
usually just walk in the office and buy it.

It has enzymes that dissolve the build-up on the teeth, and comes in
poultry flavor, which my guys like.

For brushing, I swear by Q-Tips. They're the right size, easy to use,
cheap, and you don't get your finger bitten!
