And realize that not all Petcos are alike. Managers at our stores do
not want to have ferrets in the stores. My daughter works at one along
with another rescue, reptile to be exact. And because they are Adopt
Don't Shop, the employees are able to push their own rescues as well
as others BEFORE someone buys any of the animals there.

So as a ferret community we need to make sure pet stores are held to
this standard. Cleaning cages daily and promoting adoptions. It is a
slow process but if we keep at it we can improve the lives of our
furbabies.
