Good point about Facebook having it's downfalls for fundraising
auctions. Yes, it can restrict access to folks that chose not to have
FB accounts. But, truthfully, it's a quick way to get he ball rolling
on a much needed fundraiser.

Many of us do not have the time nor skills to set up a web page or blog
to get an auction started. There are options for those that would like
to contribute to shelters & their ferrets in need, & chose not to have
a FB account. Perhaps a small donation directly to the shelter would
work best for them. Another option is if one has the skills and time,
they could themselves design a web page for an event or fundraiser.
