I've just read some emails from FMLers about my ferret-food
preparation, and thought I'd summarize my resulting questions
for wider FML distriution.

Basically I want to know

o How much per fert per day/week of chicken hearts
and livers, cooked eggs, chicken necks and feet.

o Do gizzards add anything important?

o Are cat vitamins advisable? Needed, considering my
     current plans?

A short summary of the current situation:

I have been feeding a diet of about 1/3 beef and 2/3 chicken. I use
the entire chicken except what is cut of by the stores (neck/head and
feet). The beef is meat (muscle) and some added fat. The ferts also
get a little Ferretone and olive oil.

Yesterday I bought some chicken hearts and livers. I just read that
cartilage and sinews are important and that a good source for it is
chicken necks and feet -- available here. I plan to boil them.
