This is in response to the last poster yesterday.

You said,

There is a way around the agricultural check point. A friend of mine
from Kentucky moved this year to California. He brought two of his
ferrets through Reno-Truckee. He did not want to go through the
check point due to his Kentucky plates, so he went around through a
residential area. It was only a 10 minute detour. And he had no trouble
taking this route. (email me if you want info on this route)

And a LOT of people have gone through the check point with their
ferrets. I know a few who have and never been caught. Of course they
had California plates, but I just wanted to point that out..Most people
with California plates just get waved through the station. My dad
commutes to Nevada from California (Reno-Truckee side)for work every
other month and always gets waved through.
