Making "soup"

I have found that if I put the whole chicken in my crock pot and let
if cook for at least 12 hours...all but the 4 largest bones are soft
enough to run through the blender. The largest ones are soft enough
that I can squeeze/mush the ends off and squeeze out the middles as
well. While cooking I add however many eggs I have available. I break
them but cook the shells as well. These will also run through the
blender well. While blending, I add 2 frozen weanling size mice each
time I run a new batch through. Again, these blend down to just "soup"
and the non mice eating ferrets don't realize I have tricked them!

Jane
