I know a lovely, very responsible lady who would love to have a ferret.
She will not go into a pet shop and buy one, but only wants to adopt
through a shelter. She lives in Tampa, Florida and is willing to
travel. There used to be ferret shelters in Central Florida (east or
west coast or Orlando area), do any still exist? I'm afraid I've been
out of touch with the ferret community for a while.

She has never had a ferret and I spent a lot of time talking to her
about them, the good and bad (expensive), and she still wants one. I
will guide her through taking care of her first fuzzy.
