We learned something. Pets have gotten MRSA from people. Luckily, we and ours have not gotten it from visiting my step-mom, but for those who need to know: disinfection (which we did at the hospital) and changing clothing when you get home make sense to protect your animals. There are also non-hospital cases of MRSA, for example, the ones seen among wrestlers.
