Dear Sarahferret,

Rebel was put to sleep after a two week bout with renal failure. Bill
had to go on a trip the week before, and when he came back, Rebel had
lost a whole pound. He tried to eat his favorite N-bones but it was
too tiring. He was eating and drinking until his very last day. His
readings were off the charts for everything involved and the vet said
it was time to go. We brought him home and gave him some more treats
and pampered him, had the others see him one last time, and that night
we brought him to be put to sleep. He will get to see his brother
Jasper now, and the recently departed Lucy and Slim, and Mishka, along
with many others. He left behind a lot of cage mates including his
sister, Sarah. He was completely naked except for a little fur on his
toes and on his face, and we only discovered his renal failure when we
brought him in for a 2nd adrenal surgery. Thank you for greeting Slim,
too!
