While I agree the punishment does in no way fit the crime, all of
raising up in arms over this tragedy will not serve to promote the
cause of helping ferrets. It will only make us look like a bunch of
weirdos and fanatics. Only through continued education of the public
about ferrets and the need to be informed pet owners can we help stop
such things from happening. Emails and phone calls only help if they
are done calmly and rationally. I know that my personal rage over this
violence will not allow me to do so. Please before you go all out on
the local judge and journalist stop think and do so peacefully.
