I love the way you keep me close,
I'm loved and oh so safe.
I can't hear sweet "I Love Yous"
but I see them in your face.

I cannot hear the jingling bells,
they faded long ago.
My hearing left me before,
before you'd ever know.

But hearing's not important,
with a fur-parent like you.
You've taught me ways to understand,
so many things you do.

So now, I don't need hearing,
when I see your happy tears.
I know they say "I love you" so,
resounding in my ears.
