This is off topic, but hopefully related enough for BIG to let it
through--I am performing in a show this Sunday in Cambridge, MA called
Animus: A Shamanic Journey through Belly Dance. It is organized by a
snake afficianado to raise funds for the United States Association of
Reptile Keepers, specifically for their lobbying efforts against
proposed legislation like HR669, which I know that we US ferret owners
have been concerned could affect the legal status of ferrets as pets.
And if that doesn't make it relevant enough, I will be performing a
dance inspired by Saki's story about a boy and a ferret, "Sredni
Vashtar," to a song with the same name by the band Faith & the Muse.
I won't be dancing quite like a ferret, but I am sure there will be
a little weasel war dance in there ;-) Anyway, for more information,
