I'm not a ferret owner, but I play one on TV.

I've heard that ferrets can make good pets, and I've heard that they
can be absolute terrors, eating tiny babies, and such. I'm just
real curious.
 
Would you add me to your mailing list so I can find out more about
these little tikes? A friend of mine in college had one, and
