Not everyone is comfortable with feeding their ferrets raw/live prey.

I was just thinking the other day how nice it's been not having a big
prey diet debate on the fml. Then I read today's.

There's pro and cons to prey diets and kibble with home made gravy
supplemented diet. I feel that both sides can get really preachy
about it.

Good for you Kim that you want and can do the prey diet. I can't,
don't want to. I've live near an excellent market has all kinds of
interesting things for me to feed my furkids. Today's batch of gravy
was a mixture of lamb, lamb hearts, beef liver, chicken thighs, duck
and other pure animal protein sources.

I feel in this day and age it isn't safe for me or my pets to eat raw
meats. There's a great "modern" way to kill off various bacteria. It's
called fire.
