I've been adding Purina One kitten in my mix for years, along with
Zupreem, 8 in 1 Ultimate, Natural Gold, and recently added Totally
Ferret. The following food chart is helpful:

When choosing ferret foods, take into consideration not only if there
is corn but also the percent of protein and whether the critters like
it. I also weigh the cost and availability. By mixing several foods,
the amount of the corn ingredient is diluted while adding the positive
aspects and variation of ingredients that the other brands have to
offer.
