Crafty Weasels do a great service for ferret rescues around the country
by providing free bedding that the rescues can either use or sell to
raise money. All expenses for shipping, material, supplies, etc. come
out of the pockets of the people in this group.
Debbie Whorley is in the process of becoming a ferret rescue in
Acworth, Georgia. This is not to compete in any way with Juliana of
Ferret Business of Georgia. She generally takes in older and special
needs ferrets that Juliana has a hard time finding homes for. She's
been absorbing the expense for nearly two years. Since January she's
taken in a ferret that required $900 in vet visits and surgery,
numerous adrenal ferrets requiring melatonin and/or Des implants,
several ferrets with insulinoma requiring vet visits and medication,
paid to have ferrets put to sleep, and more. All of this is out of
pocket, as she's not able to count it as an expense. Her goal is to
continue to do ferret rescue on a small basis and mostly with ferrets
that are hard for Juliana to place. The funds from the auction and
raffle will help more than you know.

and a tail.*
