Donna,
I venture to say MANY people wonder about the future of their pets. I
think we don't hear questions about it very often simply because of
procrastination (so many of us don't have wills and put off doing them
such as myself). In addition, I, along with you and so many others,
don't have the know how. Another issue is that l (and others) never
seem to have the money to do it. Or so I tell myself. I can tell your
however that if I knew how and if it was free to make a will, I'd do
it today. It would be of great help if others respond on this forum
to contribute some suggestions and answers regarding this topic.
The personal feelings you have about FML'ers are felt by many here ...
that I can attest to because I've been here for more than 10 years and
have been a confidant for a great number of people here. I've also have
been blessed to have had the privledge of meeting many them in person.
I have said many times, they are my family just as much as my closest
blood family members. In some cases more so. And if anyone doubts our
closeness of this community, well ask those who have suffered cancer
who was "there" and who supported them financially. A few come to mind
such as Jean Caputo. Ask them who was there when they found themselves
in trouble due to unforseen emergency situations, such as Kat Parsons
(she has a diff last name now). Who took her in when the Cairo, Ill
levee's breached this past spring during a historical and tragic flood.
Who drove miles and miles to be the FIRST on the scene of Renee Downs'
near deadly car accident (however it was deadly for our beloved
Gandolf). And who was there when their lives were falling apart. Ya
know? It was ferret people .. specifically FML'ers.
Do you know who was there for us during the Sean and Rocky saga? NOT my
close family, NOT the autism supporters and advocates out there, but
only a couple close friends, a few family members, and ALL of the
ferret people around the world. The involvement of those ferret people
literally aided and STILL aid in the raising of my boy and the outcome
of his moderate-severe autism on a very real and tangilble basis. If
I wasn't on my Blackberry here, I would love to go into great detail
about that. Perhaps, if anyone is interested and when I find the time
to do so I could refresh some memories here concerning that. But boy
trying to fit that in one post would be an enormous task. I'd also
fear leaving our some precious and vitally important contributions.
My thumbs are about to bleed and George Anthony is on the stand again,
so I'll end this here lol.
Take care and let's hope there is some response to this.
Wolfy
