Whoever witnessed the deaths of the ferrets needs to be a woman or man
and call CPS and the animal shelter. They are the only witness that
will be listened to. Animal control will not go by what you say since
you did not directly witness it.

I've had to get witnesses to testify. It isn't fun. But remind them
that this is for the best for the children and the animals. They would
not be contacting you if this was not bothering them. See what you can
work out.

If anything, call the cops and say you saw the child hurting this
ferret outside. They will come. Yes, it's a lie, but whatever. Or call
CPS. Or both. People fear calling CPS because people can lose their
children. Guess what, CPS does not take children unless it's a bad
situation. They don't get paid depending on how many kids they remove
from homes!
