Remember the phrase "The squeaky wheel gets the grease"? Well, let's be
those SQUEAKY WHEELS so the people in charge of the investigation into
the attack on the baby in Missouri will publish the information the
public has a right to know! We may not be able to save the deceased
ferret but we CAN save the lives of other ferrets that might lose their
forever homes due to paranoid parents rushing out to surrender their
furkid(s) out of fear.

We need to be asking the Animal Control Officer and the Mayor "Where
is the necropsy report and what are the findings?" CALL THESE OFFICES,
TELL THEM YOU ARE A CONCERNED CITIZEN (they don't need to know you
don't live there), and ASK WHEN AND WHERE WILL THE NECROPSY RESULTS
BE PUBLISHED. Call the Police Dept. and ask for the name(s) of the
detective(s) working on this case and the case number. This should
all be public knowledge information!

The more these offices get hounded (and hounded HARD!), the quicker
they will undoubtly move because no one likes to be continually
pestered. When you call, you can say something like this: "Hi. I'm
calling in regards to the investigation being done on the baby who was
allegedly attacked by the ferret. I'd like to know where I can obtain
updated information on the necropsy report that I understand has
been completed. I understand the information is supposed to be made
available to the pubic so I wanted to make sure I haven't missed
seeing the report somewhere".

If the person asks specifically why you are inquiring, you can tell
them you're a ferret owner, volunteer at a shelter, etc. (or whatever
connection you have to ferrets) and you're very concerned about the
negative publicity the case has given ferrets so therefore you want
to know the findings so that you can pass the information on to other
concerned ferret people - esp. those who might be surrendering their
ferrets out of fear.

Remember, the Mayor is an ELECTED office and even though you may not
live in Grain Valley, the people you're calling don't need to know
that. You're a concerned, taxpaying, voting citizen and you expect
the Police Dept. to keep the public properly informed and publish
information in a timely manner.

SO LET'S BECOME SQUEAKY WHEELS!!!
