From the sounds of it, this could be the start of the adrenal tumor
working. The little boys have a hard time with adrenal tumors in that
they will affect the prostrate gland and many times turn blue or red -
they have trouble peeing some of the time, sometimes not. Now you are
adding that he is scratchy, that also goes with the adrenal gland. A
lot of people think the first and/or only symptom is losing hair - NOT
TRUE. Many times, and I tend to think it is the right gland that does
this, there is no hair loss, they become sexual aggressive, grouchy,
scratchy, high energy when they weren't, trouble with peeing, etc.
That right adrenal can cause lots of problems before it shows outward
signs - as it wraps around the vena cava, the kidney, and other organs.
If your vet is ferret savvy, he'll know, if not, suggest that to him
and let him research it. Usually with just a bladder infection or
kidney infection, its just thick pussy urine and their trying to go
and can't but a little leakage all the time.
