For those who like these things, the world's largest games are at the
Pleasanton fairgrounds this Sat. and Sunday. Over 70,000 people a day
show up plus the 15,000 working there. The Chieftains from Scotland,
Australia, Canada and New Zealand attend this game..
There is 5 square miles of fun, fun, fun. Multiple Celtic Rock bands
too. Great food and drink (and whiskey. I will be at the Clan Lamond
tent (pronounced like dam it Lam-it) Even though it has a more French
spelling.
I was here the day they played tribute to Lady Di on her death. They
played 500 bagpipes at one, 'Amazing Grace'. I could not hear for over
an hour after that as I was only 6 feet from the bagpipes.
If you are in Northern CA this weekend and want something memorable to
do, stop by and have one for the road, LOL.
I would love to met some of the ferret community. I will also be
handing out some free CDs of Ferret Clip art to the first dozen or
so people who say they are ferret people.
