Today, my dad and I went to Petco, specifically to handle a silver
ferret, who looks a lot like my first ferret Zen who died 2 years ago.

The ferret's 18 months old, and was taken to Petco by a woman who found
him in her backyard. My dad and I chose to bring him home, and I paid
the $20 "adoption fee".

Did I do the right thing? Shouldn't I have adopted a ferret from a
shelter instead? Should I even keep him? By purchasing him, aren't
I just being a part of the problem of ferret overpopulation?

Randie
