We usually use Fludrocort crushed and given in Ferretone or Vivify along with Prednisolone when this happens, but some prefer Percorten injections about every 20 days with daily Prednisolone. Read in: http://www.miamiferret.org/addisons.htm Addisons may not show up immediately but then the ferret will begin to have problems days later and if not treated rapidly WILL die. It is a fatal problem, but a ferret can go from actively dying to being normal within hours if treated in time. Some require a tiny bit of salt along with the diet till they have been stabilized.
