Happy Christmas Eve Everyone!

I think my previous post needs some clarification. I don't personally
refer to ferrets as exotics (although the vets in our area who handle
ferrets are still considered exotic vets).

The "Rocks the Exotics" part of the event is for the animals that are
still considered exotics - sugar gliders, snakes, lizards, rats,
rabbits, parrots, even hamsters and guinea pigs that are invited to
join in on the already established "Meet the Ferrets" event.

We have a waiting list of stores and other venues who want us to come
and do Meet the Ferrets. The best part about it is not only educating
the general public but also the staff in stores and other rescues. We
have been at locations on our personal time (no event) and staff who
know us ask us to talk to customers right then and there. We have spur
of the moment events all the time. Our shelter business cards and
brochures are passed out everywhere we go and the shelter gets calls
all the time from people who have spoken to us. When a ferret is
abandoned somewhere, store staff and other rescues know who to call for
advice and a rescue. We encourage people who don't even adopt from us
to call us anytime with questions. Well educated owners are key to
happy ferrets. We love what we do and in opening up the opportunity we
have to other rescues who handle misunderstood pets we are making sure
no animal's health and happiness are ignored.

Thank you Debbie for voicing your concerns but, no worries, Fuzzbutts
are sometimes strange but never exotic :)

Have a wonderful Holiday.
