(Yes!, it IS not a ferret!)

A silly little gray squirrel (all in a rush)
tried to cross the highway and Nearly got crushed
A by-stander saw it, his heart in his throat!
Was that just a ferret? (no, it wasn't, bloke)
The squirrel picked up its speed, it did an air-glide
right past the tires of somebody's ride
It just made its way To the other curb
Stopped there a SEC-ond, it's tail in a curve!
So, Yes!, it IS Not a fer-ret!
That is Not a fer-ret, no way!
It's a mammal, like we are, and hairy like us!
rushed in to traffic
(and NEARly got crushed)
But YES! It was NOT a ferret!
