One of the reasons I love being involved with ferret rescue is how much
support there is amongst the ferret people. I have a perfect example.
A family in Adairsville, Georgia woke up one day to find their ferret
nearly lame in the back end. The ferret vet they normally use was out,
so they took it to another vet that didn't help. They searched on
the Internet for help and found Barb Clay's information. She made
recommendations, then put them in touch with Florence Love in the
Georgia area. Florence talked with them and put them in touch with me,
since they live about a half hour from me. I had them bring the ferret
over and showed them what to do til their vet was back three days
later. With the help of all, this ferret is going to make it and be
just fine. It's a great feeling to be part of a team like this.
