I don't think it is that simple. I'm going through this with one of
our ferrets right now. I think it is time. I told my husband, "When
I'm like that, put me down." He strongly feels it is not time. He's not
particularly attached to this ferret, but he thinks there is still hope
for some type of recovery. Neither of us think she's in pain. I think
her quality of life sucks and I don't have any hope. He thinks if he
were her, he'd want more time. Since my version can't be undone, we're
going with his for now.
