Poor Zig still has diarrhea, but his butt area no longer red and
irritated looking. Occasionally, he gets the poo stuck to his fur, so
frequent wash offs are in order, but otherwise alright for now. Still
very lethargic, but not dehydrated either. So! Took him to the vet
today. The vet found a large mass in his abdomen, was hoping it was
just stool, but... had to do xrays. Found a lump in there, wasn't
quite sure what it was, or where exactly it was. Gave me the option
of ultrasound and biopsy, or exploratory surgery. So went with the
ultrasound and biopsy. The vet who did the ultrasound was a different
office, that works closely with first vet, but first vet doesn't have
ultrasound. Anyway! He claimed that he wasn't suffering, that the mass
does not appear to have a lot of blood running through it either.
Will not have results until Wed night or Thurs morning. Sorry if this
message is disjointed. I am very sleepy. Need to catch some zzz's.
Working 3rd shift and running ferret from vet to vet not helping with
the sleep issue. Wanted to make sure this made it into the 2am posting
of the FML. Night all! Keep Zig in your thoughts.

Take care!
Alayne, Ziggy, Emmett and Bugsy
