[log in to unmask], 21 Jun 2009 12:09:21 -0400314_- I have not read anything about a symposium this year- yet. Is there
going to be one? Is anyone taking this on? I was involved with a
convention of international scope recently and while they had planned
for a thousand attendees in reality there were less than half that who
actually came to it. [...]38_21Jun200912:09:

[log in to unmask], 21 Jun 2009 13:09:35 -0700452_- Just a quick update on the ferrets that came from Ed Lipinski's
ferretry.
During the week, we were invited to come and take the last of the
ferrets, so we now have the last of them in our care.
Most of the ferrets are doing well. Some can be readily handled and
snuggled already.
One of the last ones, a Canadian ferret, is having stomach issues,
and is home with one of our volunteers for round-the-clock care. [...]38_21Jun200913:09:

[log in to unmask], 21 Jun 2009 10:53:38 -0400301_- I wonder if anyone knows how he is doing? I know he has acted as a
gadfly and caused serious problems and hurt feelings on the list but
I always felt sorry for him that he needed to act like this for
attention. I hope it's nothing life-threatening.

there was a lot more going on with ed than any of us could have known,
it seems. i hope no one here harbors true ill-will or bad wishes for
him, even tho his words and attitudes were often odd and it was hard
to comprehend his motivations, most-times. [...]44_21Jun200909:40:

[log in to unmask], 21 Jun 2009 20:16:00 +0000531_- Dear Ferret Folks-
Caff-Pow has me baffled. He has started waiting until Todd is
stone-cold asleep in a ferret coma, and then he starts washing his
ears. Todd ignores him. Then Caff-Pow seems to get really upset. He
continues to lick both of Todds ears, one after the other. Then he
tries to drag Todd around by the ear, all the time making sad,
honking-crying noises. (Caff-Pow makes the noises, not Todd. Todd
just tries to sleep through this.) This goes on for five or ten
minutes at a crack. [...]42_21Jun200920:16:00+0000col
