Here is my question. I noticed this with our Bandit who had insulinoma
and now I see it with George (as in Curious George). His toes are
curled into fists, mainly on the back feet but some on the front. Is
this normal for Insulinomic ferrets or is it an age thing?

To help give a clearer picture of George I've included the information
below.

George has been part of our family for over 5 years and he was around
2 when we adopted him, so he is about 7ish.

He has had Insulinoma for several months and is getting 0.5 ml of a
1mg/1ml Prednisolone twice a day. When he was diagnosed he was sleeping
during most of play time and his blood glucose was 45. After starting
on the Prednisolone his activity increased, but now his activity has
decreased again, he doesn't look like he feels well, and he has hind
end weakness.

He will be at the vets office first thing in the morning. I'm figuring
that we will be going up on the pred and maybe adding diazoxide.  I
just don't know what to make of him keeping his toes curled up. They
can open up and do but he keeps them curled more than the rest of our
ferrets do. We have 5 ferrets all are getting older. 2 at 7+, 2 at 6
ish, and 1 at 5.

Every time we give him his meds he gets 15 mls of pureed chicken mixed
with water and warmed up. He loves it and will be waiting for use when
its time to get meds.

He also gets some pepcid ac with his meds.
