     I think FURO is really for Ferret United Registry Organization or
     something close to that. The underground railroad you refer to is
     actually call FURR (for Ferret Underground Rail Road  - or at least
     that is what the CDFA's literature says). If anyone would like to find
     out the exact situation with ferrets in CA first hand, call Bill
     Phillips who heads CDFA. The number is 707-431-2277. This is the CDFA
     headquarters number but I believe it is also his law offices. If you
     leave a message, he gets back to you and is very helpful in answering
     any questions. Hildy at ferrets anonymous is also very knowledgeable
     and her number is 800-337-7389.
