I'd like to add a few to the list.

You know you love your ferrets when you've got enough that the vet
trips have helped you know the receptionists, vet techs and vets
better than folks in your own neighborhood!

-you know your hubby loves the fuzzies when they become characters in
his satirical writings: Maurice Weasel runs for President.

-you have to excuse yourself from social functions to get home to give
the fuzzies their night time soupies.

- you buy throw rugs for the house based on the texture or ribbing
because you know, NIbby Libby, Smokey, Roscoe, Smokey and others will
love rubbing on it.

-you have nicer comforters in your ferret cages than your human kid had
as a baby 20 years ago! (Well actually the comforters are fluffier and
softer these days)

-when there are four cardboard boxes laying about the house because the
fuzzies "just love the new boxes."

-when they have the air conditioning and you're hotter than the blazes
in other parts of the house.
