Have the treating vet FIRST determine what would be safe to try. The levels of neurological damage, difficulty swallowing, and structural damage have to be assessed first. That will determine what is safe to try when. Foamy Fries (a tooth cleaner that they chew on) may also be useful if the treating vet okays it. Don't give a lot of that since giving too much can cause a bout of diarrhea, but they are great for tooth cleanliness. Ditto Cheweasels, thought we find Foamy Fries to often be better accepted.
