Some days, a girl needs one of those cookie-cutter romance novels. Girl
meets guy. Love. Anxiety. Happily-ever-after. For a change, I wasn't
looking for a book to keep me intellectually entertained, when I
picked-up Joanna Bourne's My Lord and Spymaster. I guessed from the
title that the historical romance novel would be of the traditional
sort with no surprises. I needed bland today. I've had too much
"excitement in my life lately. So, wasn't I surprised when our heroine
has a pet ferret in higher-class merry old England? Oh yes, and the
ferret saves the day!

With respect,
