FOIA is for release of Federal Agency info and would not apply in this
case, however most states have an equivalent Public Records Release
Act. Counties and Cities also have their equivalents as well in most
cases. The best bet is to just keep this thing at the top of the list
for everyone who is involved from the media to the police to the med
examiner to child welfare and anyone else who is involved in the
investigation. They need to be made aware that until answers are
provided the domestic ferret community at large is not going to go
away.
